After a long wait, at last DiGi has revealed their preorder information for the much wanted Android JellyBean 4.2 LG Nexus 4. This reveals the RRP for the Nexus 4 16GB to be RM1649 and unsurprisingly, you don’t really save much with the DiGi plan as the phone will still cost you RM1499. You do get some rebates on the plan though. Read more below.
The only DiGi smart plan that’s currently available up on their page is the RM88 smart plan which comes with 8GB of Internet monthly. If you sign up a 2 years contract on this RM88 smart plan, you save a whopping RM150, yes RM150 for signing up a 2 years contract.
Well, DiGi does give you a RM25 rebate per month so that your contract ends up being RM63 for 2 years so you save a further RM600. Lastly, if you sign up for auto-billing, you get a 6-month RM5 rebate to save RM30. Therefore, in theory, you get to save RM780 by signing up with DiGi to get the Nexus 4. As DiGi is claiming exclusive rights to the Nexus 4, I don’t think we should expect to see the prices going down by much.
However, if you are not spending that much on your phone bill per month, you hardly enjoy much savings. Especially when the Nexus 4 can be found off contract for RM1599 here. But this is still pending stock availability. For those who cannot wait, the Nexus 4 is available unofficially (AP sets) from lelong seller directd at RM1899 for the 16GB version.
Would you sign up for the 2 year RM88 smart plan with DiGi at current prices?
