Firstly, to all readers who have started working this week, good luck in your work for the year ahead. For those still on holiday or on your way home, stay safe and have fun.
Chinese believes that each year has a combination of element AND zodiac tied to it. While I’m not too clear on how they calculate the cycle, I do know that this is the year of the Water Dragon.
Chinese believes that the Dragon year will bring good fortune, health and luck to all those born in the year. So, expect slightly above average birth rates as many Chinese couples around the world are keen on having a Dragon baby. Chinese New Year weather in Penang is usually hot and this year is no exception. However, due to the Water Dragon year, this year’s Chinese New Year has seen some rain in the evenings and nights. I guess there is some truth to Chinese Astrology after all.
